Goodwood Road Racing Company
Eve has worked with the internationally acclaimed Goodwood Road Racing Company for over ten years on the provision of temporary access solutions and related services.
The partnership sees Eve working with events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, which for most is the world's greatest celebration of the history of motor sport; and the Goodwood Revival in September, which is the largest and most popular historic motor race meeting on the planet.
Eve undertakes the supply, installation and recovery of all temporary access roadways and walkways, fencing, crowd control barriers and terracing.
Eve managing director, Rick Barnett, comments: "There is such an amazing array of events which we work with at Goodwood including the world renowned Revival and Festival of Speed. We are also the sole supplier for exhibitors at events requiring our equipment and all other events organised by Goodwood Road Racing Company, including their new event Vintage at Goodwood.
The requirement for quality and aesthetically pleasing equipment is paramount for all Goodwood events and Eve provides tailored solutions for a number of key and high profile areas including:
- Formula One Paddock: The safe and easy movement of the Formula One cars in and out of the prestigious paddock area relies on Eve's AM2 aluminium trakway system. With its flat surface and hidden joints, it fits the bill perfectly and, in black, looks the part too.
- Complimentary Fencing and Barriers: With the events taking place in the Goodwood Estate and a number in the actual grounds of Goodwood House, the importance of sympathetically coloured fencing, in green and white, is important, not only for it to blend with the surrounding landscape but also to reflect the classic style of all events.
- Racing Touches: Throughout the event, Eve’s equipment not only has a practical use but also adds to the aesthetics and even a racing finishing touch here and there including the chequered flag entrance flooring.
- Terracing: The ability for as many visitors to watch the vehicles, particularly when racing, is key and Eve supplies a range of terracing solutions, from 6 to 12 tier, to elevate standing observers.
- Protection of Listed Sites: There are certain sites within the Goodwood Estate which need special protection during events, and one such site is a listed water passage at the start of the famous Hill Climb where a protective support structure is built from horizontal timbers to distribute the load of vehicles as they pass across the temporary roadway above.
As part of Eve’s service, Goodwood events benefit from dedicated key account and project management, to not only ensure the optimum solution is specified and delivered, but to also continually improve the solutions and equipment provided and guarantee a smooth and timely implementation.
Eve has recently geared up its relationship with the Goodwood Road Racing Company by signing a new five-year partnership from January 2010.
Chris Salmon, Event Operations Director of Goodwood said: "I am thrilled that Goodwood Road Racing has extended its partnership with Eve. The professional approach, competitive edge and can do attitude at every level across their organisation is of continued benefit to the success, delivery and presentation of our international events.
The relationship will continue through the Olympic period, where demand for temporary access systems and related services will peak, guaranteeing their events the services they require in what is set to be a busy time in the calendar.
