INDUSTRY DESIGN FIRST GIVES EVE THE LEAD
Priding itself on remaining at the cutting edge of industry innovation, Eve has unveiled its new design barrier wagon with deployable ‘side walkways’.
The new barrier wagons were designed to maintain Eve’s already impeccable safety and efficiency records as the side walkways give greater ease to the installation team during the deployment and recovery of its crowd control barriers.
In addition, the innovative design will reduce lifting during barrier operations, exceeding the requirements demanded by the latest Working at Height Regulations and allow almost continuous installation.
Carl Rumney, South Division Manager of Eve says “The new barrier wagons are the result of Eve’s continual investment into methods of transportation, which not only support its staff, but also allows us to operate with improved safety, cuts our carbon footprint and makes our service delivery far smoother. Eve has worked closely with the manufacturers to design the ‘side walkways’ and it is these which add considerable benefits to our staff and customers.”
The new barrier wagons were utilised recently during a crowd control installation in London for the metropolitan Police and the Judges Breakfast. The project required 450m of Heavy Duty Barriers to be deployed and speed was of the essence due to the potential build up in traffic some traditional transportation methods may have created in the Capital, thus making the new features on the wagon invaluable.
The wagons will be permanently based at Eve’s Wimbledon depot, which due to its growing client base, has significantly increased its barrier and fencing offering.
