FROM DRIVERS-MATE TO DIRECTOR: PROMOTION SHOWS SIMON’S ON THE RIGHT ‘TRAK’ AT EVE
Having started his career with Eve 21 years ago, Simon Messenger has yet another thing to celebrate, following the announcement that he has been appointed as the company’s Director of Operations.
During his time with Eve, Simon has worked his way up through the company starting as a drivers mate and progressing to driver after getting his Class 1 license. Simon then came off the road when he was appointed site supervisor where he spent two years working in France, before coming back to the UK to do the same role. He was initially promoted to Project Co-ordinator, and then shortly afterwards to Site Services Manager, during which time he took responsibility for the Bramley Vale depot as well as the project management team. Having now been appointed Director of Operations it is fair to say that Simon has worked his way to the top.
Commenting on the appointment, and how Simon will shape Eve’s new business direction, Rick Barnett, managing director says: “I am delighted to announce Simon’s promotion to this role. In his 21 years with the firm he has instilled the confidence of the whole team and has demonstrated an ability to rise to each and every challenge he has faced, which is why I’m certain he will continue to do this as Director of Operations.
“Simon’s new role is a further step Eve has taken to grow the business and to support our exciting expansion plans. We’re looking forward to what Simon and the rest of the year will bring.”
In addition to helping Eve achieve this commercial growth, a significant responsibility of Simon’s will also be to increase its already strong customer satisfaction levels.
Simon commented: “Having spent the last two decades with the business and having seen many changes in those years I am delighted to have the opportunity to help shape the future ones.
