EVE STRIDES AHEAD WITH LONDON MARATHON CONTRACT
Eve will be supplying this year's Virgin London Marathon with all its crowd control requirements for the route as part of its current three year agreement with the organisers.
Having been contracted to work on the event for upwards of 20 years, Eve has seen its crowd control requirements increase as the iconic event has grown. This year Eve will supply in excess of 30km of demarcation including 20km of 5ft Heavy Duty Barriers and 10km of GT Lightweight Barriers.
The contract will see a 100 strong crew utilising over 40 vehicles to provide the organisers with the effective service that they require. The crew will be split between 16 standby points along the length of the Marathon route and are on hand to efficiently 'lock down' the course on the morning of the event - ensuring there are no breaks in the barrier line.
As the field of runners embark on their Marathon, they are followed by the Eve crew on their own marathon which will see them pick up approximately 12km of barriers before the end of the day of the event in order to comply with the demands of the local councils, Royal Parks, Metropolitan Police and Transport for London. The entire route is cleared in the following two to three days.

The Virgin London Marathon attracts thousands of runners every year and has raised over £450 million for charity since 1981.
