EVE STANDS GUARD OVER ROYAL WEDDING
When the world’s media descended on London to capture this generation’s Royal Wedding, Eve provided all temporary Trakway for two Media Broadcast Centres and all crowd control products to keep the masses of well-wishers in line around the Capital city.
The total contract – split between Media Structures, Arena Structures and the London Metropolitan Police Service - was valued at over £200,000 and comprised over 20,000sqm of Box Panel Trakway for the Broadcast compounds for both the UK and World Media and 25 km of crowd control barriers along the route of the procession. Eve’s teams were working on the deployment for three weeks prior to the big day and had cleared the barriers three days after the event with all sites clear just over a week after the big day.
Paul Messenger, Key Account Manager at Eve said: “It was a real pleasure to be able to get involved in such an iconic event and I’m happy to say that the preparation, installation and recovery of products all went according to plan. As we had numerous clients to deal with on the event so it was important to ensure effective communications with all parties was achieved - something that Eve prides itself on. We’re now looking forward to the next Royal Wedding!”
Eve’s Box Trakpanel is a temporary roadway and walkway system, suitable for both medium to heavy duty vehicle and pedestrian access. This aluminium roadway comprises panels, 3 metres wide by 2.5 metres long, bolted together to create a smooth surface which provides excellent support underfoot, whilst the construction of the panel maintains a high load bearing capacity.
Eve’s stock of barriers ranges from government agency-approved heavy-duty crowd-control barriers to lightweight barriers, allowing the company to cater for every event.
