Eve Secures Two Major Accolades at this year’s Event Production Awards
Eve has been honoured at the inaugural Event Production Awards by being named ‘Flooring and Roadway Supplier of the Year’ sponsored by Capitol House Productions and ‘Crowd Barrier or Fencing Supplier of the Year’ sponsored by The White Book.
The awards, organised by The Event Production Show, Access All Areas and the White Book in association with Capitol House Productions, honoured the top event industry suppliers in the UK at a glittering awards ceremony in London at the Hilton Hotel Park Lane which welcomed over 600 industry professionals.
Eve was recognised as ‘Best Flooring and Roadway Supplier of the Year’ for its access solution for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010. Having serviced the event - which is acknowledged by most as the world’s greatest celebration of motor sport history - for the past 10 years, Eve demonstrated how it delivered tailored solutions for a number of the festival’s high profile areas whilst approaching the contract in a collaborative manner alongside Goodwood. Commenting on Eve’s work, Chris Salmon, Event Operations Director at Goodwood said: “The professional approach, competitive edge and can do attitude at every level across Eve is of continued benefit to the success, delivery and presentation of our international events.”
Regarding this accolade the judges agreed that Eve’s “...excellent customer service, expert execution, constant innovation and creation of new products put them consistently ahead of the game.”
The company was awarded the title of ‘Crowd Barrier or Fencing Supplier of the Year’ owing to its work supplying crowd barriers to the London Marathon 2011. The largest contract to date of its 25-year history between itself and The Marathon, 2011 saw Eve successfully install, maintain and remove over 30,000 metres of demarcation barriers along the route. This saw a 100 strong crew utilising over 40 vehicles to deliver the solution within a tight timescale.
The judges felt that Eve do a “phenomenal job” supplying to the London Marathon and commented that, “They’re a fleet-footed organisation who have to contend with a huge variety of difficult issues which they always do incredibly well.” The judges also highlighted Eve’s ability to develop their products and their fantastic service levels.
Rick Barnett, Managing Director at Eve said: “We are delighted with our success at this year’s Event Production Awards. Any business is only as good as its people and we have a fantastic team at Eve - my thanks go out to all of them. This is a fantastic way to start what promises to be a very exciting and demanding year for us all.
"We had a wonderful night at the awards - great atmosphere, great company, great results! We very much hope the awards will be back again next year and look forward to attending."
The Event Production Awards was sponsored by CreatEvents, Agility logistics, Event Industry News, Millbrook Events, PSCo, Table Art, Blackout, Arena Group, Pitmans People, Planet Gold Decor and PP Rigging.
