EVE LAYS FOUNDATIONS OF CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
Eve has laid the foundations for the Winter Wonderland outdoor event in Hyde Park.
The free fun-filled festive event set in a 36,000sqm site runs from 21st November to 3rd January and attracts thousands of kids and families. Eve was chosen to lay a range of its temporary roadway and walkway systems to accommodate both vehicle access and the heavy pedestrian footfall throughout the event.
Eve also provided its expertise during the set up of the event, with the installation of temporary roadways to manage the flow of vehicles, cranes and equipment through the park without damaging the ground. The equipment will remain with the organisers throughout the event as well, providing hard standing areas for compounds and equipment storage.
ATM Traffic Solutions, which was recently acquired by Eve, helped manage the flow of production traffic on public park roads for the event with the provision of Chapter 8 traffic management barriers.
Eve head of sales and marketing, David Walkden, comments: “We are delighted to be working in Hyde Park to bring a little festive cheer to the region. We installed approximately 9,000sqm of temporary roadways and walkways, using I-Trac and Box Trakpanels, which incorporated the main thoroughfare through the event. Due to deteriorating weather conditions, we also laid additional walkways to facilitate easy and safe access to and around a number of attractions.”
Winter Wonderland’s events producer, Suzy Griffiths of PWR Events, comments: “I am really impressed with the products and service that Eve have provided for us this year at Winter Wonderland. The I-Trac has been a particular success providing the perfect temporary roadway solution for heavy vehicle traffic as well as a non-slip surface for pedestrians.”
