EVE LAUNCHES NEW TRAKWAY THAT’S TUFF UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE
Eve has marked 45 years operating in the industry with the announcement of its latest heavy-duty offering, Eve TuffTrak.
Created to provide a temporary roadway system, Eve TuffTrak is a heavy-duty plastic trakway enabling access for the heaviest of loads including plant, machinery and multiple vehicles.
Manufactured using a unique moulding process to ensure a high level of integral strength and durability, Eve TuffTrak has been designed using a hardy, 48mm and virtually indestructible, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).
In addition to providing a robust access solution, Eve TuffTrak also offers ground protection across soft, wet or even damaged ground as the material compound can flex to follow the natural ground contours. Due to its unique design, Eve TuffTrak also eliminates some of the ground preparation time required in temporary access management, thus enabling activity on site to begin efficiently.
The Eve TuffTrak panels can be stored in wet areas for long periods without risk of degradation and its solid design prevents moisture absorption and does not conduct electricity.
The chemically inert panel is also suitable for eco-sensitive or heritage sites, whilst also offering the obvious benefits associated to sites prone to theft.
Commenting on the new addition to Eve’s extensive product range, managing director, Rick Barnett says: “There was a need in the market to create a panel that could withstand the heaviest loads in a number of industrial sectors. This, coupled with the demand to create an access panel that offers an alternative to aluminium - which can prove to be costly for some contractors to protect - was Eve’s reasoning for jointly developing this product with Zigma Ground Solutions.”
Since the company was formed in the 1960s, Eve has worked extensively on a large number of industrial projects as a specialist subcontractor including Viridor, National Grid’s East and West Electricity Alliances and recent work for Balfour Beatty on Scottish and Southern Energy sites and prides itself on product development that supports the sector.
