EVE CONTINUES DRIVE FOR SUCCESS
Eve has expanded and enhanced its transportation fleet of 40 heavy goods vehicles by investing in six new state-of-the-art 6-axle lorries worth over £120,000 each.
The new MAN TGS 26.440 lorries will enable Eve to transport, install and recover temporary access solutions such as trakway systems, fencing and barriers even more efficiently than it is renowned for, as the vehicles offer a host of benefits such as remote cranes with increased speed, lifting capacity, reach and manoeuvrability. Plus, with enhanced fuel efficiency, driver behaviour monitoring and a larger load capacity, they are more environmentally friendly further reducing Eve’s carbon footprint.
Furthermore, the lorries achieve improved safety during installation and recovery as the remote manoeuvrability of the cranes provides drivers with increased visibility and a 360-degree view at all times. The lorries are also more spacious offering higher wellbeing facilities for drivers.
Eve Logistics Manager, Andrew Rushforth, said: “Our customer base is growing all the time so in order to keep up with this increased demand, we’ve strengthened our fleet with these enhanced vehicles to ensure our customers continue to get the very best service we are known for.
“We have been going strong for over 45 years now and this is because we continue to stay one step ahead of the field by not only building and sustaining long-term relationships with our customers through delivering every project on time and on budget, but through investing continuously in service and product innovation.”
Eve has also expanded its team of senior drivers with the promotion of three of its drivers – Michael Wain, Jonathan Ellerby and Mark Ellerby. As senior drivers, they will work closely with customers to deliver an enhanced onsite service and ensure all implementations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Andrew continues: “We’re delighted to have strengthened our team - they will be using the new lorries to provide temporary access solutions and related services to the first of many summer events including Rockness, Glastonbury Festival, Download, Urdd National Eisteddfod and Polo in the Park.
“Our senior drivers lead the way in terms of maintaining excellent customer relations by providing additional, quality operational support during the delivery, installation, maintenance and recovery of our solutions. They are imperative to the success of Eve and I’m sure we will further strengthen the team as the business continues to grow.”
The team of six senior drivers plus Eve’s mechanics have all undertaken full training at the MAN training facility to maximise the benefits of the new lorries and cranes.
